Vietnam visa requirements for Icelandic citizens

Vietnam immigration policies regulated that all Icelandic residents must have visa to enter and stay in Vietnam within 1 to 3 months, single or multiple entry. From Iceland, they may apply for a visa at the nearest Vietnam Embassy or apply visa on arrival to save the cost

Iceland is one of the 26 European countries forming the Schengen area which have no border controls between them. However, visa is one of the many things for which Icelandic citizens need to prepare before traveling to Vietnam.

From Iceland, the applicants may apply for Vietnam visa by 2 options:

  • Getting a visa on arrival within 2 working days or just 1 or 2 hours by applying a visa online. It's beneficial for those who is living in the country where there is no Vietnam Embassy located and who arrive Vietnam by air (it is a must). See more how it works.

    No document is required for Vietnam visa on arrival. Applicants just need to provide the visa information by filling in the online application form with full name, gender, date of birth, nationality and passport number. A letter of approval issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department will be shipped via email at a given time.

  • Getting a Vietnam visa from Vietnam Embassy or Consulate in Iceland and it takes 3 - 5 working days
    Required documents for Vietnam Embassy visa application include original passport, application form attached with 1 photo and visa fees.
