Vietnam visa requirements for Japanese citizens
Vietnam immigration policies regulated that Japanese tourists and businessmen do NOT need a visa to stay in Vietnam within 15 days. They just need to bring along with original passport, 2 photos and stamping fee to enter the country without providing approval letter or visa stamped on the passport.

However, the Japanese citizens who is wishing to stay in Vietnam for more than 15 days, a Vietnam visa is required. Citizens of Japan or those who are currently living in this country may apply for Vietnam visa by 2 options:
- Getting a visa on arrival within 2 working days or just 1 or 2 hours by applying here. It's beneficial for those who is living in the country where there is no Vietnam Embassy located and they will arrive Vietnam by air
- Getting a Vietnam visa from Vietnam Embassy or Consulate in Japan and it takes 3 - 5 working days
