Vietnam visa requirements for German citizens

Vietnam immigration policies regulated that all German residents do NOT need a visa to stay in Vietnam within 15 days. They just need to bring along with original passport, recent taken photos to enter the country without providing approval letter for visa stamp.

From Germany, the applicants may apply for Vietnam visa by 2 options:

  • Getting a visa on arrival within 2 working days or just 1 or 2 hours by applying a visa online. It's beneficial for those who is living in the country where there is no Vietnam Embassy located and who arrive Vietnam by air (it is a must). See more how it works.

    No document is required for Vietnam visa on arrival. Applicants just need to provide the visa information by filling in the online application form with full name, gender, date of birth, nationality and passport number. A letter of approval issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department will be shipped via email at a given time.

  • Getting a Vietnam visa from Vietnam Embassy or Consulate in Germany and it takes 3 - 5 working days
    Required documents for Vietnam Embassy visa application include original passport, application form attached with 1 photo and visa fees.
